Two men, Rauf Muideen and Olalekan Alimi, pleaded guilty in a Nigerian federal court to trafficking 100 grams of cannabis, while another man, Seyi Oluwasina, was remanded in custody on charges of possessing over 12 kilograms of cannabis and methamphetamine.
A separate arrest occurred at Ibadan’s correctional centre where a visitor was caught attempting to smuggle cannabis and hemp hidden in cooked rice.
All cases are linked to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency and are pending further legal proceedings, with hearings scheduled for March 20, 2026.
