Using international DNA databases after U.S. databases failed, the DNA Doe Project confirmed her identity in 2021 through genetic genealogy, tracing her ancestry to Finnish and Italian roots with over 35 relatives found in Europe.
Funded by 28 donors who contributed $3,450, the case remains unresolved regarding her age, appearance, cause of death, or whether she lived in Minnesota.
The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office has not responded to inquiries.
Jensen is one of seven identifications made in Minnesota through the project’s efforts.
