Malawi police have arrested a second suspect, 42-year-old Steven Kadammanja from Mulanje, in connection with a K392 million robbery near Lilongwe’s Autotech Building on February 9, 2026.
Kadammanja was shot in the arm during a resistance attempt and is now hospitalized under police supervision.
This follows the arrest of 49-year-old Nelson Chipokosa, believed to have orchestrated a fake foreign currency exchange scheme leading to the heist.
Authorities are continuing their investigation, aiming to recover the stolen funds and make further arrests.
