This follows an incident where a plea rejected by one bench was re-listed before another. Simultaneously, the court issued show cause notices to education officials over a controversial textbook chapter titled "Corruption in the judiciary," rejecting NCERT’s apology, imposing a blanket ban, and demanding records of the approval committee. The CJI condemned the chapter as a deliberate effort to erode public trust in the judiciary, warning that any attempt to bypass the order would be treated as contempt.
