India and Nepal signed a Memorandum of Understanding in New Delhi on February 26, 2026, to boost cooperation in forests, wildlife, environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, and climate change.
The agreement, signed by India’s Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav and Nepal’s Cabinet Minister Madhav Prasad Chaulagain, focuses on joint conservation efforts for key species including tigers, elephants, rhinoceroses, snow leopards, Gangetic dolphins, and vultures.
