A Filipino play about migrant workers' struggles premieres March 12–29, 2026, at UP Diliman.
Dulaang Unibersidad ng Pilipinas will present "Ang Kaliitan ng Kasalukuyan," a play by artistic director Arlo Deguzman, from March 12 to 29, 2026, at UP Diliman’s IBG-KAL Theater.
The production explores the emotional and social impacts of migration on Overseas Filipino Workers and their families, drawing from Deguzman’s personal experiences as a migrant worker.
It highlights themes of sacrifice, absence, and identity, with a cast and crew including individuals with personal ties to OFW life.
Performances are scheduled on Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., with tickets priced from P550 to P1,000 and discounts available for OFWs, seniors, persons with disabilities, and UP community members.
