Eagle Plains sells seven gold claims in Saskatchewan to Trident for $5,000 plus a 2% royalty, with option to buy half for $1M.
Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. agreed to sell seven non-core gold claim blocks in Saskatchewan’s La Ronge Gold Belt, totaling 4,711 hectares, to Trident Resources Corp. for $5,000 cash, while retaining a 2% net smelter royalty, with Trident holding an option to buy half for $1 million.
The deal, involving shared directors, is exempt from formal approval under Canadian securities rules due to its value being under 25% of Eagle Plains’ market cap.
The transaction remains subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval.
Eagle Plains, based in Cranbrook, B.C., continues to focus on critical and precious metal exploration, with over $41 million in partner-funded exploration since 2010, and operates a green energy division launched in 2024.
