Dublin's Luas operator Transdev lost its €1.75B contract; Amey-Keolis to take over in mid-2026.
Dublin’s Luas light rail operator Transdev has lost its €1.75 billion contract after 22 years, with a joint venture between Amey and Keolis named the preferred bidder.
The new operator is set to take over in mid-2026 for an initial seven-year term, with options to extend up to seven more years.
The transition includes a 14-day standstill period during which operations will continue unchanged.
Transdev called the decision “very disappointing” but confirmed staff will transfer under EU TUPE rules.
TII initiated the procurement process in 2023.
