Dr. Sledge remains under investigation for MIIF corruption; no charges filed, assets frozen but court rejected confirmation due to insufficient evidence.
The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) in Ghana confirmed on February 25, 2026, that Dr. Nana Yaw Duodu, known as Dr. Sledge, has not been cleared of corruption allegations tied to the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) scandal.
No criminal charges have been filed, and no court has ruled on his guilt or innocence.
The investigation into MIIF operations from 2020 to 2024, involving approximately $94 million in transactions, remains ongoing.
Although the OSP froze assets including vehicles valued at GH¢18 million in 2025, an Accra High Court rejected the request to confirm the freeze in January 2026, citing insufficient evidence of corruption and noting the matter appeared to involve contractual disputes.
The OSP has since taken legal steps to re-secure the assets, which remain under its control, and continues tracing and freezing suspected illicit assets linked to the investigation.
El Dr. Sledge sigue bajo investigación por corrupción MIIF; no se presentaron cargos, los activos congelados, pero la corte rechazó la confirmación debido a la insuficiencia de pruebas.
