The Denver Broncos hired Robert Livingston as their new defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator.
The Denver Broncos have hired Robert Livingston, the former defensive coordinator at Colorado, as their new defensive passing game coordinator and primary defensive backs coach, replacing Jim Leonhard, who joined the Buffalo Bills.
Livingston, 40, returns to the NFL after two seasons with the Buffaloes, where he helped lead a significant defensive improvement in 2024, lifting the team from 121st to 43rd in scoring defense.
He previously spent nine years with the Cincinnati Bengals, including eight as secondary coach, working under current Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph.
Colorado’s defense regressed in 2025 after losing key players, finishing 3-9 and ranking near the bottom nationally in points and yards allowed.
Linebackers coach Chris Marve will take over as the Buffaloes’ new defensive coordinator.
