Confirmed by his consulting firm Brunswick Group, the move represents his first significant club ownership investment and reflects his desire to make an impact off the field. After being demoted in 2024, Almería, which has been owned by a Saudi-led consortium since 2018, was recently purchased by Mohamed Al-Khereiji in the summer of 2025. Currently ranked third in Spain's Segunda División, the team hopes to be promoted. Al-Khereiji emphasized his in-depth knowledge of Spanish football and the strategic importance of the collaboration, while Ronaldo praised the club's foundation and growth potential.
