Cristiano Ronaldo, 41, has acquired a 25% stake in UD Almería, a Spanish second-division football club, through his CR7 Sports Investments firm.
The move, confirmed by his consulting firm Brunswick Group, marks his first major investment in club ownership and reflects his ambition to contribute to football off the pitch.
Almería, owned by a Saudi-led consortium since 2018 and recently acquired by Mohamed Al-Khereiji in summer 2025, currently ranks third in Spain’s Segunda División and aims for promotion after being relegated in 2024.
Ronaldo praised the club’s foundation and growth potential, while Al-Khereiji highlighted his deep understanding of Spanish football and the strategic value of the partnership.
Financial terms were not disclosed, and the club did not provide additional details.
