A 16-year-old girl vanished in Norcross, Georgia, on February 18, sparking a search effort.

A 16-year-old girl, Zyla Velazquez, is missing from Norcross, Georgia, last seen on February 18 around 9 a.m. leaving her home, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and Gwinnett County Police. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 125 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Authorities believe she may still be in the local area or have traveled to nearby cities. Her mother said her disappearance is out of character and urged the public to help. A video shows her taking out a trash bag and appearing distracted by her phone before walking down the stairs.
