Youth homelessness in the UK rose by nearly 7,000 in the year ending March 2025, reaching 123,934 young people aged 16 to 24, the third consecutive annual increase, according to Centrepoint.
The rise was seen across England, Scotland, and Wales, with Wales recording the largest percentage jump at 8%.
Many young people are now sleeping on night buses or on strangers’ sofas, facing unsafe and traumatic conditions.
