Two teens charged in connection with MDMA that caused a 15-year-old girl’s death await trial in April.
Two teenagers, Kian Lockett, 18, and Nathan Laffitte, 19, appeared in court via video link from Norwich Prison on February 25, 2026, facing charges related to supplying MDMA linked to the death of 15-year-old Lilly McCarthy, who died on January 24 after becoming unwell.
The Crown is awaiting post-mortem and toxicology results, which may lead to additional charges, but no decision has been made.
The case was adjourned to April 24, with a provisional trial date set for July 27.
McCarthy’s family, who described her as a bright and joyful young woman, have raised over £5,800 through a fundraiser for her funeral.
A previous reporting restriction preventing her identification was lifted as unlawful.
