Two Irish women got suspended sentences for laundering drug money for a Drogheda gang linked to the Boylan brothers.
Two Irish women, Leah Smith, 27, and Niamh McManus, 39, received suspended two-and-a-half-year sentences for laundering money for a Drogheda drugs gang linked to the Boylan brothers.
Smith admitted to moving €14,100 in 2020, McManus to €22,500 between 2021 and 2022, both through Revolut accounts.
Both were connected to gang members via personal relationships, claimed they feared the group and were unaware of the full extent of the crimes, and had no prior convictions.
Judge Dara Hayes suspended the sentences, noting their remorse, lack of criminal history, and efforts to rebuild their lives, requiring each to enter a €100 bond to keep the peace.
