Portland Trail Blazers guard Shaedon Sharpe has been diagnosed with a stress reaction in his left fibula, discovered during imaging for a prior left calf strain sustained on February 6 against the Memphis Grizzlies. He has missed seven straight games and will be re-evaluated in four to six weeks. Sharpe, 22, is averaging a career-high 21.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.4 steals in 48 games this season, including 42 starts. The team will also be without All-Star forward Deni Avdija, who reinjured his lower back during a win over the Phoenix Suns and is sidelined for the 11th time in 18 games. Avdija is averaging 24.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 6.6 assists this season.
