Nina Fathizadeh, co-owner of a San Jose in-home daycare, has pleaded guilty to 10 felony charges, including child endangerment resulting in death, in connection with the 2023 drowning deaths of two 1-year-old girls, Lillian Hanan and Payton Cobb.
The incident occurred on October 2, 2023, when Fathizadeh, the only caregiver present, left the children unattended in a backyard while cooking, and they slipped through a propped-open gate into a pool.

The daycare has been shut down.
