The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association has urged Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to investigate allegations that Muslim Kashmiri students at CT University in Chandigarh faced harassment, eviction threats, and abusive language after requesting meal arrangements for Sehri and Iftar during Ramadan.
The students, who are regular fee-paying boarders, say their request for religious accommodations was met with intimidation and warnings of admission cancellation.
The association called for an impartial inquiry, protection from retaliation, and immediate implementation of meal services during Ramzan, stressing that universities must uphold constitutional rights, inclusivity, and respect for religious diversity.
