India approved ₹48,000 crore in rail projects for Madhya Pradesh, including a major freight corridor, during PM Modi’s third term.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that rail projects worth Rs 48,000 crore have been approved for Madhya Pradesh during Prime Minister Modi’s third term, including the new East-West Dedicated Freight Corridor, key rail line upgrades, and two new passenger trains.
The corridor, stretching 2,052 km from West Bengal to Gujarat, aims to boost logistics and industrial growth.
Nationwide, the Union Cabinet has approved infrastructure projects totaling nearly Rs 13 lakh crore since June 2024, covering railways, highways, metros, airports, ports, and ropeways.
