ICRIR appeals for info on 1990 Belfast car bomb that killed James and Ellen Sefton.
The Independent Commission for Reconciliation and Information Recovery (ICRIR) has launched a new appeal for information in connection with the 1990 car bomb killing of James Sefton, 65, and his wife Ellen, 66, in Belfast.
The couple was fatally injured on June 6 when a booby-trap bomb exploded under their car near the old Forth River Primary School.
James Sefton died in hospital, and Ellen passed away the next day.
Acting at the request of the family, the ICRIR is urging anyone with even minor details to come forward, emphasizing the lasting pain of victims’ families and the importance of accountability after more than 35 years.
The commission is distributing posters and leaflets in relevant areas to generate new leads.
