Colton Jansen, 26, of Comstock, pleaded guilty to arson for setting a fire at Shooters Showgirls in Elk Mound in January 2025, citing personal opposition to strip clubs. A Dunn County judge found him not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect after three medical evaluations concluded he lacked full mental responsibility. Burglary and possession charges were dismissed. Jansen, who had no prior criminal record, will remain on conditional release while the Department of Health Services prepares a treatment plan within 21 days. No restitution is required. A dispositional hearing is set for April 2.
