Chemours and 2CRSi partner to advance liquid-cooled AI servers, boosting efficiency and cutting energy use.
Chemours and 2CRSi have formed a joint development partnership after Chemours’ Opteon™ two-phase immersion fluid was qualified for use in 2CRSi’s high-density servers, advancing liquid cooling for AI and next-gen IT infrastructure. The collaboration aims to speed deployment of direct-to-chip and immersion cooling systems, targeting energy efficiency gains of up to 90% over air cooling, improved power usage effectiveness, and reduced water use. They are developing compact, high-performance servers—like the 1U Atlas 1.8GG 2PIC with eight NVIDIA H200 GPUs—capable of supporting AI, autonomous vehicles, and 5G/6G networks. The effort focuses on ultra-dense 15 kW per 1U systems to help decarbonize data centers and meet rising computing demands.
