Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman began his first international trip since taking office by attending an emergency OIC meeting in Jeddah on February 25, 2026, focused on Israeli settlement expansion and annexation efforts in the occupied West Bank, which the OIC labeled invalid and damaging to the two-state solution.
