A 22-year-old man from Wonowon, British Columbia, has been charged with impaired driving causing death, dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death, and refusing to provide a breath sample in connection with a June 12, 2024, crash on Highway 97 near the Sikanni River Bridge.
The collision with a Chevrolet Silverado resulted in the death of a 32-year-old Alberta man and minor injuries to a 24-year-old passenger.
The charges were approved by the B.C.
Prosecution Service on February 12, 2026, and the accused is set to appear in court on March 30, 2026.
