A Texas trooper was shot during a traffic stop pursuit, wounded but stable, as one suspect was killed and another remains at large.

A Texas DPS trooper was shot and hospitalized in stable condition during an early Monday morning traffic stop in Big Spring, near Westover Hills Apartments. The stop led to a vehicle pursuit ending in a PIT maneuver, crash into bushes, and a foot chase. One suspect opened fire, injuring the trooper, who returned fire, killing one suspect.
