Robert Downey Jr. named godparent of Disney’s new Marvel-themed ship, set to debut in Singapore on March 10, 2026.

The Disney Adventure, the largest ship in Disney Cruise Line's fleet, will make its debut in Singapore on March 10, 2026, and Robert Downey Jr. has been named godparent. In recognition of his legendary role as Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which contributed to the franchise becoming the highest-grossing in history, the announcement was made on February 23. Downey will conduct the christening ceremony, a customary maritime rite, in his capacity as godparent. The Ironcycle Test Run roller coaster, the "Avengers Assemble!" stage show, and the Marvel WEB Workshop are among the Marvel-themed attractions on board. With more ships scheduled through 2031, the ship, which is homeported in Singapore, will serve as Disney Cruise Line's first Asian base and will travel throughout Asia and beyond.
