A civil engineer with 11 years of council experience, Clausen highlighted infrastructure projects like new footpaths, 35 playgrounds and dog parks, and a trial for reduced pool entry fees.
He prioritized housing affordability and pledged to use expanded mayoral powers to deliver community-focused solutions.
Charlotte McCabe, the Greens councillor and current deputy lord mayor, will serve as interim lord mayor until the election, with other candidates also running.
