On February 23, 2026, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched 'Teacher App 2.0' in New Delhi, a free digital platform developed by Bharti Airtel and CK-12 Foundation, now featuring over 45 AI-powered tools for more than 200,000 Indian educators.
The app aims to streamline lesson planning and improve instruction across K-12 subjects by providing real-time, classroom-aligned AI support.
It expands on the 2024 launch with 2,500 hours of training in literacy, numeracy, and digital skills, plus a collaborative Teachers’ Lounge.
The initiative supports India’s National Education Policy 2020 and the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, aligning with the government’s push to modernize education through AI while preserving Indian values.
Pradhan called AI integration essential for modern teaching and expressed hope for future inclusion of national AI models like BharatGen and Sarvam.
