Former Nigerian minister's fraud trial delayed to Feb. 26, 2026, after defense failed to produce key witness.
The trial of former Nigerian Power Minister Saleh Mamman, accused in a N33.8 billion fraud case, was postponed to February 26, 2026, after his defense lawyer failed to produce a scheduled witness due to the individual’s unavailability.
The Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice James Omotosho, granted the defense additional time to secure the witness.
Mamman faces 12 counts of conspiracy and money laundering brought by the EFCC.
The case remains ongoing, with the defense expected to open its case at the next hearing.
