A precautionary lockdown at Lehman High School in Kyle was lifted on Feb. 23 after a report of a weapon was investigated and found to be a mistaken object. No firearm was found, and officials confirmed the situation posed no real threat. The lockdown, initiated out of caution, ended by 4:11 p.m., with students released in phases as law enforcement departed. Hays CISD confirmed safety protocols were followed throughout the incident.
