Chatham-Kent hosts Workforce Week with webinars and a job fair to prepare residents for over 20,000 expected regional jobs by 2035.
Chatham-Kent is hosting its second annual Workforce Week to prepare residents for growing job opportunities amid regional expansion.
The initiative includes virtual webinars on career transitions, credential recognition, and job fair preparation, culminating in a March 4 job fair at the John D. Bradley Centre featuring over 80 employers and educational institutions.
Interactive demonstrations, including trades showcases and youth activities, will highlight skilled careers.
The region expects over 20,000 jobs to be filled by 2035, with more than 4,000 new positions due to growth.
Since 2024, CK Jobs has helped over 700 people find jobs, supported more than 450 in training, and assisted over 340 employers, relying on collaboration among local government, schools, and businesses.
Webinars are available via the municipality’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
