Azule Energy began oil production at Angola’s Ndungu field, part of a larger project targeting 175,000 barrels daily.
Azule Energy, a BP and Eni joint venture, has started production at the Ndungu offshore oil field in Angola’s Block 15/06, marking first oil and commercial operations.
Located 10 km from the Ngoma FPSO in 1,100-meter-deep waters, the field includes seven production and four injection wells, with peak output expected at 60,000 barrels per day.
It is part of the Agogo Integrated West Hub Project, which aims to reach a combined peak production of 175,000 barrels per day with the Agogo field.
The project follows a 500-million-barrel discovery in the same block.
Azule, operating the block with Sonangol E&P and Sinopec International, emphasizes sustainability and long-term output, supporting Angola’s energy goals.
