Amtrak worker Jeremy Charles died after being hit by a Keystone train in Pennsylvania on Monday.
A 39-year-old Amtrak employee, Jeremy Charles, was killed Monday morning in East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County, after being struck by a Keystone train around 11:30 a.m. while working on the tracks near Greenfield Road and Old Philadelphia Pike.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Amtrak suspended all Keystone Service for the day as officials investigate, and the Lancaster County Coroner confirmed the identity of the victim and scheduled an autopsy.
No other injuries were reported, and Amtrak expressed condolences to Charles’ family.
