St. Cloud postal workers, represented by the National Association of Letter Carriers, Branch 388, held a rally on Sunday as part of a nationwide Day of Action involving over 120 cities. They called for higher wages—particularly improved starting pay that has not recovered since 2012—better staffing, and safer working conditions, citing persistent shortages since the pandemic that have hurt service in areas like Waite Park, Paynesville, and Princeton. Union leaders highlighted a 55% turnover rate among non-career letter carriers within their first year, stressing the need for stronger contracts to stabilize the workforce and ensure reliable postal service.
