The incident, which occurred at 2:30 a.m. on 14th Street, left two men dead—Adrian Phillips, a city employee, and Derious Johnson, a middle school basketball coach—and a third man injured but in stable condition.
White fled to Akron after the shooting, prompting a manhunt by the U.S.
Marshals Service and Stark County Sheriff’s Office.
He is currently held in Ohio awaiting extradition to West Virginia.
