A Ghanaian man was jailed for nine months after stealing items from a market shop and selling the phone.
A 31-year-old unemployed man from Accra, Sampson Kwabena Ebo, was sentenced to nine months in prison after pleading guilty to stealing a phone, handbag, and clothing from a Makola Market shop.
Surveillance footage from the Office of the Special Operations led to his arrest on February 10, 2026, at Konkomba Market.
Ebo admitted to selling the phone for GH¢500 and discarding the other items.
Authorities believe he may have worked with accomplices who targeted shops during busy hours, and one suspect, Baba, who allegedly bought the phone, had fled and remained at large.
