Azerbaijan to review minimum wage annually and draft men aged 18–30 for military service in April 2026.
Azerbaijan will review its minimum wage at least once a year under new labor laws, with the executive branch implementing adjustments based on recommendations from designated institutions.
President Ilham Aliyev signed the decree as part of broader labor reforms.
In a separate move, the president also issued a decree for military conscription from April 1 to 30, 2026, targeting men born between 1996 and 2008 who are under 30 and have not previously served, while those completing service will be released to reserve status.
The changes aim to modernize military service procedures and strengthen labor protections.
