Air Algérie relocates all London flights from Heathrow to Stansted, ending 30 years of service, with expanded summer schedules and new aircraft.
Air Algérie is moving all London operations from Heathrow to Stansted Airport, ending service at Heathrow that began in 1994, with final flights on March 28.
The shift, cited as operational, makes Stansted the airline’s sole UK gateway.
Four weekly flights will increase to up to two daily during summer, using larger Airbus A330-200 jets.
The move supports broader expansion plans, aided by new Airbus A330neo and Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft.
The airline is also considering routes to Manchester and Birmingham to serve the Algerian diaspora and boost tourism.
Passengers on Heathrow flights will be rebooked to Stansted, with refunds available.
