flag Singapore will give seniors $1,200 vouchers starting April 1 to install safety home upgrades.

Starting April 1, over 80,000 private home residents in Singapore will receive $1,200 vouchers to cover 75% of costs for seven senior-friendly home fittings, including grab bars and slip-resistant treatments. The expanded Ease programme, now open to seniors aged 65 and above and those 60 to 64 needing daily living assistance, rolls out in phases through 2028. Unused voucher amounts can be saved for future upgrades. Applications will be sent via mailer, and only pre-qualified contractors may be used. The initiative aims to reduce fall risks and support independent living.
