NPR launches archive of Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack with firsthand accounts and multimedia.
Five years after the January 6 Capitol attack, NPR has launched a comprehensive archive to preserve firsthand accounts, multimedia evidence, and journalistic reporting from the events leading up to, during, and after the storming of the U.S. Capitol.
Led by correspondent Tom Dreisbach and senior editor Barrie Hardymon, the project aims to ensure an accurate, accessible historical record for future generations.
The archive includes interviews, video footage, audio recordings, and investigative findings gathered by NPR’s reporting team, reflecting the network’s commitment to factual, in-depth journalism during a pivotal moment in American history.
