A New Jersey man died in a snowmobile crash in New York after his vehicle struck a tree and flipped into a swamp.

Banks of Cream Ridge, New Jersey, died Friday night in a crash on a trail near Caroga Lake, Fulton County, New York.
The incident occurred just after 11 p.m. on County Road 111, where Banks’ snowmobile failed to navigate a curve, struck a tree, and overturned into a swamp.
Emergency crews from the Caroga Lake Fire Department and St. Johnsville Ambulance responded, transporting him to Nathan Littauer Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The New York State Police are investigating the crash, with no details released on the cause or the snowmobile’s condition.
Weather at the time included snow showers, temperatures near 25°F, and light winds.
