A 1496 Lake District pub reopens in April 2026 after £3.65M renovation, now run by Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery.
The Kirkstone Pass Inn, a historic Lake District pub dating to 1496, is set to reopen before Easter 2026 after a five-year closure.
Following a £3.65 million refurbishment by Supreme Escapes, Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery has taken over bar operations, aiming to revive the site as a destination for hikers, cyclists, and locals.
The inn, located near Ambleside and on England’s second-highest pass, will offer beer, coffee, food, and refreshments.
Updates on progress will be shared via the brewery’s Facebook page.
