The 26-year-old American, playing Riviera for the first time, surged with a birdie-eagle-birdie stretch on holes 10-12, including a tap-in eagle on the 11th. McIlroy, struggling on fast greens, carded a 69 and missed key putts, finishing at 200. South Africa’s Aldrich Potgieter and England’s Aaron Rai are tied for third at 12 and 11 under, respectively. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler moved into contention with a 5-under 66. Bridgeman, seeking his first PGA Tour title, will face McIlroy in the final pairing.
