A Duluth police officer was stabbed in the leg on February 22, 2026, during an arrest attempt after responding to a disturbance involving a 22-year-old man who allegedly struck a Mayo Ambulance and threatened paramedics. The suspect, reportedly intoxicated, resisted arrest and was taken into custody on charges including first-degree assault and obstructing legal process. The officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries, received medical treatment, and was released. The incident remains under investigation.
