A Chinese firm to build a $19.6M garment factory in Bangladesh, creating 3,254 jobs and exporting to the U.S., UK, EU, and Japan starting in 2027.
A China (Hong Kong)-based company, Tianford Bangladesh Textile Co Ltd, has signed a land lease agreement with Bangladesh’s BEPZA to build a $19.59 million garment factory in Nilphamari’s Uttara Export Processing Zone.
The facility, set to start construction in April 2026, will span 24,000 square meters and produce 7 million garments annually, including shirts, jeans, and jackets, targeting markets like the U.S., UK, EU, and Japan.
It is expected to create 3,254 jobs and begin exports in 2027.
The deal was signed by BEPZA and Tianford officials, with BEPZA highlighting its investor-friendly policies and support for local sourcing.
