Appleton’s College Ave. unveiled 26 ice sculptures of Wisconsin icons, drawing crowds and boosting local business.
Appleton’s College Avenue became the Avenue of Ice on Saturday, showcasing 26 ice sculptures celebrating Wisconsin favorites like the Green Bay Packers, Oktoberfest, and local businesses. The event, delayed a day due to warmer weather, featured artwork themed around "What We Love About Wisconsin" and was placed at 15 locations along the avenue. Organizers said the display aimed to boost downtown foot traffic, support local businesses, and provide a family-friendly winter attraction. Sculptures, created by Crystak Clear Ice Company, were expected to remain on view as long as cold weather continued.
