A 29-year-old man was charged with impaired driving after police found his car in a ditch and later saw him driving it with a blood alcohol level above Ontario’s legal limit.
A 29-year-old East Ferris man faces impaired driving charges after his vehicle was found in a ditch on Hillcrest Road on February 13, 2026.
Police responded to a report of the stranded car but found no driver.
Minutes later, they saw the same vehicle being driven westbound and stopped it.
Officers determined alcohol was a factor, and a blood test showed a concentration of 80 mg or higher, exceeding Ontario’s legal limit.
The man was arrested, released, given a 90-day licence suspension, and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
He is scheduled to appear in North Bay’s Ontario Court of Justice on March 17.
