He highlighted the government’s infrastructure push in Assam, claiming 14 km of roads built daily over five years, along with hundreds of bridges, and criticized past Congress rule for neglecting border security and allowing encroachments.
Shah announced the launch of Vibrant Village Programme 2.0 in Cachar district, targeting 1,954 villages across 17 states, including 140 border villages in Assam.
He credited the CRPF with transforming conflict zones, paying tribute to nearly 700 personnel who died in service, and reaffirmed the government’s focus on security and development in border areas.
