Erie Indemnity Company announced that Tim NeCastro will retire as CEO on December 31, 2026, after 30 years with the company, including 10 years as CEO.
Under his leadership, Erie Insurance grew to nearly $13 billion in annual premiums and over 7 million policies in force, while maintaining strong financial health.
NeCastro, who joined in 1996, led the company’s expansion into Kentucky in 2014 and helped celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2025.
A native of Erie, he has been active in local economic development and will continue with the company as president of the Erie Insurance Foundation.
The board has begun searching for a successor, with NeCastro staying on through the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.
