Minnesota Twins pitcher Pablo Lopez will undergo Tommy John surgery next week to repair his elbow, sidelining him for the entire 2026 season.
The 30-year-old, who had a 2.74 ERA in 14 starts during the 2025 season despite multiple injuries, is undergoing his second such procedure, the first in 2013.
Lopez, a 2023 All-Star, has a career record of 59-53 with a 3.81 ERA and 994 strikeouts in 965 innings over eight seasons with Miami and Minnesota.
He was in the third year of a four-year, $73.5 million contract.
